"Vote Local, Vote Liz"

I am standing as a Candidate for Truganina Ward as I believe it is time that Council listened to the needs of all Ratepayers.

It is not good enough for bikes and cars to share the same road. Not only is this dangerous for Cyclists but it is frustrating for other roads users. We need all roads to have bike lanes, this should be a pre-requisite for all new roads, when they are built, not added on later.

A great job was done with the Federation Trail and with the bike path along Skeleton Creek, but which other areas do residents' need to have a safe Bike Path? Has anyone been consulted on this? Has anyone listened and acted? I intend to listen and act on Community requests.

I welcome suggestions  and questions from members of our Community on other areas of concern/ interest in this area. Perhaps you have an issue with the state of our roads in the area for cyclists, perhaps you have issues with safe bicycle parking, perhaps you have issues with signage for cyclists. Whatever your thoughts are, please contact me and I will respond.

My philosophy is that Council needs to listen listen to the Community, resolve the issues they can and then to put pressure on State Government to act. We need actions not words.
